1. Pink Pony Pub

No vacation to Alabama's beaches is complete without visiting the Pink Pony Pub. Loved for its waterfront views and coastal drinks, this bubble gum pink building offers the perfect photo op. When walking up the ramp to the front door, stop to grab a picture of the beer-sipping pony painted on the restaurant's wall.

2. Cosmo's

Dog lovers have to visit Cosmo's in Orange Beach. This restaurant is a local favorite for its fantastic food and dog-friendly atmosphere. Inside, you'll find canine-inspired art covering the walls, but it's the mural outside you don't want to miss. Cosmo's fun and fabulous mural features dogs (and even a cat) enjoying a day at the beach. You'll want to take your pup along with you to snap a photo in front of this artwork!

3. Souvenir City

Souvenir City in Gulf Shores is known for the giant shark guarding its entrance. While taking a picture in the shark's mouth is a must, did you know there's an extraordinary mural on the side of the building? This 500-square-foot piece by local artists depicts a vibrant underwater landscape—the perfect beach scene!

4. Hog Wild Beach & BBQ

If you're craving finger-licking barbecue, savor a plate or two from Hog Wild Beach & BBQ. Not only does this Gulf Shores spot serve delicious food, but it has a cute and colorful outdoor mural. Grab a pulled pork sandwich or brisket tacos and strike a pose in front of the playful surfing pig.

5. Playa

Extraordinary views, fresh coastal cuisine, and handcrafted cocktails are what you'll find at Playa. This Orange Beach restaurant also boasts a light, airy atmosphere with several photo-worthy spots inside. While dining here, check out the charming pastel pink mural by the bar.

6. Orange Beach Store

Show off your love for the beach by picking up something from The Orange Beach Store—shop hats, T-shirts, sweatshirts, drinkware, and other coastal-themed items. Once you've found the perfect gear, snap a pic with your bag in front of the store's mural. For a really beachy photo, throw on one of the new pieces you bought.

7. The Hangout

The Hangout is an iconic landmark on Alabama's beaches with numerous Instagrammable spots. From its surfer statue and crayon sign to the wish wall, guests have their pick of where to grab a photo. One of the best spots, however, is the rainbow mural in the restaurant's courtyard. This piece spans the entire width of the building it's painted on, making it the ideal place for a group picture.

8. Cobalt

Diners at Cobalt will notice an eye-catching wall outside of the seafood restaurant. This piece of art captures everything that makes the Gulf Coast such a wonderful place, from our gorgeous beaches and unique wildlife to the local music scene and the iconic Blue Angels. Take a moment to admire this impressive mural next time you're there!

9. Perch

In the mood for a fancy dinner? Perch at The Lodge is the restaurant for you. Not only does this fine dining spot serve exceptional meals, but it also has a spectacular abstract wall. This unique mural will mesmerize you as you enjoy your dinner and drinks. Be sure to grab a table by the wall to get a close look at it. 

10. The Wharf

The Wharf is your one-stop shop for shopping, dining, entertainment, and fabulous art! You'll find more than one vibrant mural here, but our favorite is located on the side of the Pepper Palace, near the Ferris Wheel. It perfectly captures the fun of vacationing on Alabama's beaches. You'll want to take a moment to pose in front of this colorful wall.

11. The Royal Oyster

You'll find the most dynamic mural on the island at The Royal Oyster Bar in Gulf Shores. This local joint has fresh boutique oysters and creative cocktails you can enjoy in front of its vibrant sunshine and rainbow wall. The restaurant even provides chalk for guests to write in their favorite quotes.
