Nominees for all categories in the 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards are chosen by a panel of relevant experts which include a combination of editors from USA TODAY; editors from 10Best.com; relevant expert contributors; and sources for both these media and other Gannett properties. The nomination panel for each award category is displayed on its associated contest page.
“Gulf Shores and Orange Beach have made the top ten list for several 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards in the past, including Best Small Beach Town and Best Small Town Food Scene,” explained Beth Gendler, President & CEO of Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism. “It is exciting that our two cities are back on these lists and is a testimony to our cities’ commitments to creating a high quality of life for residents which then makes our area an enticing destination for visitors.”
Orange Beach Mayor Tony Kennon echoed Gendler’s sentiment.
“Whether you are looking to dine with your toes in the sand or for a five—star meal prepared by a Great American Seafood Champion, Orange Beach, Alabama has it all,” expressed Mayor Kennon. “Orange Beach takes pride in having a strong community of restaurateurs who provide unique dining experiences for our residents and visitors alike.”
For Gulf Shores Mayor Robert Craft, being nominated in two categories speaks volumes about the “Small Town, Big Beach” community.
“We are incredibly honored to be nominated for Best Small Town and Best Coastal Small Town in the USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards,” said Mayor Robert Craft. “This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our residents and businesses who make Gulf Shores such a special place. We encourage everyone to visit Gulf Shores and experience our beautiful beaches, delicious food, and warm hospitality for themselves.”
Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism, the City of Gulf Shores, and the City of Orange Beach encourage residents and visitors who love the destination to vote daily.
